Head humanitarian policy and advocacy, Action contre la Faim (ACF)
Pauline Chetcuti is Head of Humanitarian Advocacy and Policy at Action against Hunger. A lawyer by training, she is also Lead of the Humanitarian Commission of Coordination Sud and chairperson of the IHL, Environment and Development Commission of the National Commission for Human Rights (CNCDH).
With experience in Afghanistan and Palestine with other NGOs, Pauline has developed humanitarian advocacy within Action Against Hunger in Paris and in the strategic hubs of Brussels and Geneva. Her role is to defend a humanitarian action that respects humanitarian principles and International Humanitarian Law, among institutional actors and in support of field missions, in order to maintain access to basic services for the most vulnerable populations. Aware that hunger and conflicts are inherently linked and that root causes of conflicts must be addressed to end hunger, Pauline has led various publications and campaigns for Action against Hunger to break the vicious cycle of hunger and conflict.
Pauline represents Action Contre la Faim in international humanitarian networks (Voice, ICVA, IASC).
